Regional research

South Asia

Country conditions research directed to the individual protection or human rights issue before the Tribunal.

Individual risk in context

Research may consider political opinion, religion, ethnicity, caste, gender, family association, or other asserted risk factors against reliable and contemporaneous country information.

Evidence that distinguishes general conditions

A report distinguishes general instability or discrimination from evidence bearing on the individual's claimed risk. Anonymised decisions, including AA (Pakistan), may be considered where relevant and appropriate.

Tribunal-focused methodology

For FtTIAC and UTIAC proceedings, opinions are sourced transparently and confined to the expert's remit. The report records assumptions and limitations, as required by the duty to the Tribunal or Court.
